Active Water Harvesting
Active water harvesting is the process of installing cisterns and mechanisms that will allow for the collection and disbursement of rain water in a more controlled method. The Nature Conservancy in Tucson has installed a new system that displays this concept in action. For a self-guided or docent-led tour locally, check out their website at:

More and more environmentally-conscientious homeowners are installing cisterns to aid in the irrigation of their properties. Saves money too!
